November 26th, 1978: Dayton Riders Casino Night becomes a tradition. A best online casino night was established by the Dayton Roughriders where fans can play free online casino games for hour on end. Refreshments and buffet style dinner is also served.
May 28, 1982: Dayton's great QB Jim Burt is inducted into the ECFFL Football Hall of Fame.
June 23, 1984: The Roughriders update their look one more time, adding black and silver to the Green and White, and featuring a new logo.
July 29, 1984: Dayton's Fred Ding kicks eight field goals against the Pentacock Marauders, tying a ECFFL record.
July 23, 1988: Ding again kicks eight field goals against Scranton, tying his own ECFFL record.
Oct 14, 1995: The largest regular season one game attendance at Dayton's Woodrop Field was 55,438 when Dayton beat El Paso 25-23. Given that the capacity of Woodrop Field was 27,732, this was a tight game in more ways than one.
